Pietro Bianchi, etnomusicologo. é un personaggio che ha ormai un posto di grande rilievo nella riproposta della musica tradizionale europea.

Pietro Bianchi founded in 1974 together with musicians from Brittany, Cornwall and Lyonesse their training in France where he played the piano, harpsichord and violin. Passionately to ethnic music from around the world, in 1975 he enrolled at the Paris and studied musicology, Eastern traditions (with Tran Van Khe), Africa (with Marcel Laloum) and ethnology ( with Dyan Rey). Gets a Maîtrise from the University Paris VIII in music in 1979.

In Rome, a member of the Swiss Villa Ludovisi, follows a course with Carpitella Diego, teacher and friend. While in uninterrupted concert activity, he began a long research in the popular song: first in Berry, and Creuze Corrèze, then moved permanently in Canton Ticino, the subject of the thesis Maîtrise. Here collects about 600 songs, dances and oral testimony by technical means of Italian Swiss Radio. Since September 1980 he joined the editorial staff of the same music that employs him as an ethnomusicologist Radio. This period are also the TV movie A Series On the other band and the sound of singing.

From 1979 to 1985 directed a festival of folk music in Langa, entitled Canté j'euv collecting a huge success.

President of the Swiss Society for Ethnomusicology, winning twice with the Ascona for Culture (1984) and with Vincent Falchetto for popular culture (1990), we lose the desire to play in public, in a duo with Roberto Maggini (with white in the picture) since 1983, with Padus (a group of Swiss and Italian repertoire Po) since 1994, Martinotti, Coltri,   Tombesi e Vitelli; con la sua Orchestrina, formata da Giotto Columberg, Giorgio Lanini e Anna Pacchin; e con molti altri musicisti.

Ha suonato nei cinque continenti con importanti tournée in Australia,   Canada, Turchia, Emirati Arabi, Russia, Georgia, Scandinavia. Più volte in Irlanda, dove ha perfezionato lo stile nel suonare il violino, ha partecipato a straordinarie sessions con i grandi maestri.
