The first stop was made at a THE PEARL FARM in Voldomino to discover the food chain, here the kids were able to watch the milking of cows and weaning: to all participants in the Lady Fernanda, owner, won a bottle of fresh milk.
Second stage: the rediscovery of the picturesque Old Mill Riviera, with the telling of anecdotes, customs and traditions related to agriculture and way of life of the peasants. The the precious ancient town of Riviera is also home to the little church dedicated to San Provino, frescoed by the painter Varese Michele Ferrari.
After driving along the bike path along the River Margorabbia, 120 children were accompanied to a son visit to the greenhouses of Floriculture Rabbiosi a Cucco. Cuckoo lives in a magical corner, characterized by a court rurale in cui un tempo si trovava una tipica osteria, un luogo che ha conservato il fascino di un passato lontano, immerso nel verde e fiancheggiato da un fiume ancora limpido! Daniela e Sara hanno illustrato agli scolari il ciclo produttivo delle piante, dal seme fino al mantenimento in vaso. Qui alcuni alunni hanno provato ad invasare le piante che poi gentilmente la Floricoltura Rabbiosi ha offerto alle maestre. Compito per le vacanze: curarle con la promessa di riportarle a settembre in classe, ovviamente ben mantenute!!!!
Ultima tappa la visita presso l'agriturismo Cascina Volpi: qui il proprietario, signor Vanetti, ha spiegato come si apre un agriturismo ed ha accennato to some small reference standards. It is not a visit to the planting of blueberries and their drip irrigation system.

The next meeting will be "BREAD AND CHEESE", Saturday, June 20 con una visita guidata presso un vecchio forno: si panificherà con una pratica ancora con la lievitazione della “pasta madre” e con criteri biologici e successivamente ci si recherà in un’azienda agricola in cui si allevano le capre e si produce la reginetta delle nostre tavole, la prelibata Formaggella del Luinese DOP.
